Requirements

Candidates must be fluent in English and French and possess a Registered Nurse (RN), Nurse Practitioner (NP), or Registered Midwife (RM) designation with at least three years of experience in Canada. This experience must include patient care in a clinic and/or hospital setting, covering women's health services from routine pregnancy care to high-risk obstetrics, as well as experience with individuals undergoing menopause and postpartum/non-postpartum pelvic health. A strong understanding of conditions impacting pregnancy, regional variations in Canadian obstetrics and gynecology, and excellent empathetic listening skills are required. Candidates must also be able to work effectively in a confidential, remote environment with a reliable personal computer and internet connection, and demonstrate a motivation for continuous learning and adaptability.

Responsibilities

The Medical Expert Consultant will provide evidence-informed educational sessions to guide and educate individuals on medical, reproductive, and pregnancy-related topics. This role involves utilizing expertise and critical thinking in a collaborative environment to help members understand their fertility and family-forming options, optimize their reproductive health, and navigate their fertility journey. The consultant will also be expected to stay updated on pregnancy-related and menopause topics to promote excellent member experiences and educate others.
