Candidates should possess a High School Diploma or equivalent and be certified as a Medical Assistant, with experience in an endocrinology setting preferred. They should demonstrate proficiency in taking vital signs, performing phlebotomy, administering vaccines, and assisting with patient examinations.
The Medical Assistant in Endocrinology will prepare patients for examinations by obtaining and documenting vital signs and chief complaints, perform phlebotomy and specimen collection, administer vaccines, and assist the clinical provider with patient exams. They will also screen patient calls, contact patients regarding prescriptions and test results, perform diagnostic tests as directed, maintain clinical supplies, and fulfill front desk duties as needed.
