Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Associate’s degree in a related technical field is preferred
  • Previous pipeline or petroleum industry experience with emphasis on mechanical/electrical is highly preferred
  • Proficiency in basic computer skills
  • Must hold a valid driver’s license with good driving record
  • Must be able to pass a general background check as well as a Motor Vehicle Background check
  • Strong background in basic electrical and mechanical equipment
  • Ability to troubleshoot problems
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Must live within 45 minutes of the reporting location in Heath, OH

Responsibilities

  • Perform work in a safe and environmentally conscious manner in accordance with all Environmental, Safety and Regulatory requirements
  • Perform routine maintenance, coordinate and communicate maintenance activities
  • Respond to and resolve station alarms and communicate findings to appropriate parties
  • Generate computerized work requests for maintenance tasks; coordinate and communicate maintenance activities
  • Repair and maintain valves, pumps, vapor recovery unit, tank equipment, strainers, meters, provers, and truck rack loading equipment in accordance with all regulations
  • Provide field support to various other Marathon Pipe Line LLC processes and departments
  • Execute mechanical maintenance and reliability duties at multiple area facilities in support of 24/7/365 pipeline operations
