Technical or vocational training in mechanical maintenance is preferred

Proven experience as a Mechanical Maintenance Technician

Responsibilities

Inspect, maintain, and service mechanical systems, machinery, and equipment
Conduct scheduled preventive maintenance tasks to identify and address potential problems
Execute mechanical repairs and replacements, ensuring adherence to safety standards and regulations
Install, upgrade, or modify mechanical systems and equipment as needed
Keep comprehensive records of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs
Maintain accurate records of mechanical maintenance tasks, including work orders and equipment manuals
Identify and diagnose mechanical problems using various tools and equipment
Determine the root cause of mechanical malfunctions and develop effective repair solutions
Interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics to locate and rectify issues
Collaborate with engineers and supervisors to implement improvements and enhancements
Strictly adhere to safety protocols, including lockout/tagout procedures, to prevent accidents and injuries
Ensure compliance with all applicable local, state, and national mechanical codes and regulations
Other duties as required
