Requirements

Minimum of a 2:2 in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Aerospace Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering or Control Systems Engineering
Motivated and hard working with a positive and professional attitude to challenges
High level technical and personal skills for working in a team and interacting with others

Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work individually or as a member of a successful team

Responsibilities

Develop skills and knowledge across Internal Research, Design and Analysis through to Integration, Tooling and Testing
Work on Mechanical Design placements, involved in all stages of design from concept development through to manufacture, using CAD tools and laboratory test programs
Work on Mechanical Future Concepts placements, involved in ground-breaking missile technology through early stages of product lifecycle including concept development and R&D studies
Work on Mechanical Analysis placements, supporting the design process through FEA tools and laboratory testing for stress and thermal analysis
Work on Actuation Systems placements in a multidisciplinary team on electro-mechanical design of fin, wing and seeker actuation systems
Work on Materials and Processes Group placements, informing design teams' choice of materials and processes, involved in research of novel materials and practical lab-based assessments
Contribute to meaningful work relevant to projects from the outset, with hands-on work experience and interaction with hardware
