Requirements

  • BS in mechanical or aerospace engineering, or equivalent experience
  • 2+ years professional experience developing mechanical systems
  • Experience with current CAD and FEM packages
  • Experience in innovative system designs
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Willing to travel up to 10% of the time
  • Capacity to perform in compliance with U.S. export control laws (U.S. person status or eligible for authorization)

Responsibilities

  • Design, analyze, build, test, and fly a system of actuators, mechanisms, and structural modifications to enable remote piloted aircraft
  • Work with a team of top performing mechanical engineers alongside Electrical, Systems, Software, GNC, Manufacturing, and Flight Test engineers
  • Own your hardware from concept through flight test and certification (cradle-to-grave engineering with hands-on build, test, and integration)
  • Bring a sense of humility, and be ready to both learn and teach
