Requirements

Candidates should possess at least 5 years of relevant experience and 1 year of experience writing Rust code, along with experience designing and maintaining APIs and distributed systems, strong proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript and experience with modern frontend development tools, and an intrigue about the challenges faced by building and orchestrating other engineers’ code.

Responsibilities

The Senior Build Systems Engineer will contribute to the design, implementation, and maintenance of Turborepo, ensuring it meets high-performance standards and integrates seamlessly with Vercel’s deployment platform, identify opportunities and lead projects to enhance performance, reliability, and developer experience of CI/CD on Vercel, improve developer experience for both large and small codebases, stay abreast of industry trends and advancements in CI/CD technologies, bringing innovative ideas to the team, engage with the open-source community, participate in discussions, and contribute to related projects, aligning with Vercel’s commitment to giving back to the developer community, and write clean, efficient, tested, and well-documented code.
