Requirements

High School Diploma or GED
Experience in use and function of hand and power tools and equipment applicable to position
Experience servicing, maintaining and repairing equipment
Knowledge of ordering and/or securing parts and supplies
Knowledge of reading and interpreting work and repair orders, drawings, charts, diagrams, dials, gauges, warranties, quotations, procedures and equipment manuals
Ability to apply addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, decimals, and percentages
Ability to understand and comply with company and/or governmental operating/safety policies and procedures
Ability to communicate and/or exchange information and instructions
Ability to operate tools and equipment
Ability to work in confined areas
Ability to react immediately to emergency situations to prevent injury to self and others
Ability to perform precise tuning/timing work
Ability to utilize fine motor skills for making minute adjustments
Physical ability to perform Medium Work (exerting 20-50 pounds of force occasionally, 10-25 pounds frequently, up to 10 pounds constantly), including frequent standing/walking/balancing, occasional sitting/lifting/carrying/pushing/pulling/climbing/stooping/kneeling/crouching

Responsibilities

Assist with mechanical work on fixed and rotating equipment at compressor, pipeline, storage, gathering, fractionation and/or gas processing facilities, including internal combustion, diesel, natural gas powered engines, electrical drivers, compressors, pumps, generators, turbines, valves, electrical equipment, and well equipment
Service, maintain, install and repair structural, mechanical, electrical and/or well equipment
Order and/or secure parts and supplies
Maintain, prepare and/or interpret reports and/or records, including work logs and service orders, inspection reports, engine/equipment maintenance and repair records, pressure readings, material and supply orders, and engine and compressor oil analysis reports
Drive and ensure maintenance is complete on company vehicles
Perform Department of Transportation (DOT) covered functions, including operations, maintenance, or emergency response on a pipeline
Be alert and respond immediately to dangerous or hazardous conditions to prevent serious injury or property damage
