Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Industrial or Technology Engineering OR equivalent Aerospace Manufacturing work experience
  • Proficient in CATIA V5: Generative Shape Design, Assembly Design and FT&A workbenches
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints
  • Working knowledge of machining/assembly disciplines and standard manufacturing processes
  • Working knowledge of MRP/ERP systems (Syteline ERP system preferred)
  • Working knowledge of MS Office Applications (MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint)
  • Working knowledge of PLM systems (SmarTeam/3DX system preferred)
  • Strong technical writing skills to communicate customer requirements clearly and concisely
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail, with a focus on detail and accuracy
  • Dependability: Follow instructions, respond to leadership direction, and accountability for own actions
  • Ability to take initiative: Offer and ask for help when required, perform work independently
  • Collaborates and gets along in team-based environments

Responsibilities

  • Develop CATIA V5 fabrication and/or assembly manufacturing models, utilizing the Generative Shape Design, Assembly Design and FT&A workbenches, while working with the ME department to ensure all part and customer requirements are met
  • Develop and maintain standards for the creation of models, with primary focus on modeling hole requirements for NC Programming and masking for processing
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, 3D models (CATIA V5), specifications and all other customer defining documentation of new and existing product
  • Work daily in the PLM system (SmarTeam/3DX) workflows to realize New Product Introduction, ECRs/Part Number Rolls and VAEP projects
  • Operate software and equipment used in the department, including Microsoft products, SmarTeam and Syteline
  • Work on special projects to transition existing 2D documents to a 3D environment, working independently on tasks while achieving scheduled targets
  • Report to work on time, follow instructions, interact well with co-workers, understand and follow work rules and procedures
  • Work overtime as necessary
  • Perform other various duties as needed or as assigned
