Must have forklift experience
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Working knowledge of products and their quality requirements
Reliable, with good initiative, commitment, and quality focus
Ability to lift up to 50lbs
Ability to effectively work with a team in a fast-paced environment
Ability to read and understand shipping/receiving instructions
Ability to work quickly while maintaining high level of craftsmanship and attention to detail
Flexibility to cover overtime and weekend work when necessary
Computer proficiency for invoicing shipments and setting up shipments
Proven record of success in a fast-paced environment
Excellent attendance
Good eye to spot defects
Personal hands-on and analytical abilities, organizational skills, and attention to detail

Responsibilities

Perform tasks necessary for high quality, efficient, timely operation in Shipping and Receiving Department
Learn and manage raw and finished good inventory in the plant
Follow safety procedures when operating forklift or clamp truck
Complete daily forklift inspection report (OSHA requirement) and report mechanical/electrical problems
Provide safe, effective, efficient goods delivery while maintaining positive customer relations
Check and verify product tags, markings, and labels for accuracy during loading/unloading trailers
Prepare labels and Certificate of Analysis (C of A) for shipments
Move materials between plant, warehouse, and other shipping/storage areas
Load and unload transport trailers and process associated paperwork
Verify inventory levels and assist with inventory counting; arrange and sort warehouse stock
Maintain cleanliness of the area and follow good housekeeping procedures
Invoice shipments and set up shipments using computer
Perform all duties demonstrating highest level of safety and quality
Other duties as required
Work overtime when required
