Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Marketing, or related fields (relevant construction field experience could substitute for higher education)
  • 5+ years of experience in Sales or Marketing for Construction Supplies with a proven track record delivering results (preferred)
  • Prior management/team leadership experience (preferred)
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Physical ability to travel at least 50% of the month within territory assignment
  • Proficient in Microsoft applications: Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook
  • Experience with SalesForce, PowerBI, Showpad Coach or other CRM/sales optimization system (preferred)
  • Must pass MVR & Drug Test

Responsibilities

  • Support National and Regional strategic plans to achieve individual and team top-line sales targets
  • Establish, develop, and maintain key relationships with end-user partners through product and services solutions
  • Develop, coach, and mentor the team of Trade Specialists reporting directly to you to achieve KPIs, deliverables, and targets, including guidance on end-user development (e.g., who to contact such as trade associations, safety personnel, engineers, etc., and how they execute the purchasing process)
  • Complete effective “work withs” monthly at a minimum with the end goal of training, developing, and motivating the team to take market share
  • Ensure team has appropriate product and sales skills training by working with the Regional Field Trainer and directly facilitating training on product demonstrations, applications, and sales process steps
  • Act as the local product line expert for all lines
  • Act as a liaison between your team of Trade Specialists and other internal teams (e.g., local IC Field Account Managers, NAMs, Channel Marketing, Trade Association Managers)
  • Maintain daily communication lines with the Regional Market Manager on business and employee opportunities and risks
