Candidates should possess a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as Geography, Urban Planning, or Data Science, and have at least three years of experience in mapping, transportation, or urban data analysis. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are essential, along with the ability to understand and interpret local transit regulations and policies. Familiarity with GIS software and data modeling techniques is also required.
The Mapping City/Country Expert will be responsible for developing and maintaining transit data pipelines, establishing ground truth in their assigned city/country, and consulting on transit/micro-mobility projects. They will also communicate with internal and external stakeholders, provide input on city/country-specific policies, review mapping operations issues, analyze market comparisons, and proactively suggest improvements to the data management platform. Furthermore, they will document and analyze information needs, assist program managers with partner communication, and evaluate data for prioritized cities to identify data gaps and improve accuracy.
