Requirements

  • Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Follow all GMP and SOP’s as defined by Viant Medical policies, practices and procedures to ensure FDA and ISO regulations and quality standards are met
  • Ability to respond to line calls in a professional, safe, and timely manner
  • Ability to maintain and sustain daily operation of production machines and fixtures with goal of zero downtime
  • Ability to perform nearly all repairs needed and suggest/implement solutions to equipment issues
  • Ability to test devices and machines to determine performance levels and document results
  • Ability to identify root cause of manufacturing equipment problems and implement corrective action
  • Ability to troubleshoot and service minor to complex electrical machine controls and circuits
  • Ability to identify and improve safety issues within production areas
  • Ability to dismantle, repair or replace devices using hand tools and power tools
  • Ability to consult, collaborate and follow up with other maintenance techs, engineering and manufacturing employees to identify and resolve maintenance issues
  • Ability to communicate and collaborate with external vendors
  • Ability to maintain 5S environment in work area(s) and maintenance shop
  • Ability to follow required lock out/tag out procedures and all other safety requirements
  • Meet physical job requirements to successfully perform essential functions (e.g., independently mobile, interact with computer, communicate with peers)

Responsibilities

  • Follow all GMP and SOP’s as defined by Viant Medical policies, practices and procedures to insure that FDA and ISO regulations and quality standards are met
  • Respond to line calls in a professional, safe, and timely manner
  • Maintain and sustain the daily operation of production machines and fixtures with goal of zero downtime
  • Perform nearly all repairs needed, suggest, implement solutions to equipment issues
  • Test devices and machines to determine performance levels
  • Document results of testing and/or trouble shooting
  • Identify the root cause of manufacturing equipment problems and implement corrective action
  • Troubleshoot & service minor to complex electrical machine controls and circuits
  • Identify and improve safety issues within the production areas
  • Dismantle, repair or replace devices using hand tools and power tools
  • Consult, collaborate and follow up with other maintenance techs, engineering and manufacturing employees to identify and resolve all maintenance issues in a timely manner
  • Communicate and collaborate with external vendors
  • Maintain 5S environment in work area(s) and maintenance shop
  • Follow required lock out/tag out procedures and all other safety requirements
  • Prepare and set up equipment when required
  • Perform regular preventive maintenance on equipment through the company software program
  • Document corrective maintenance through the company software program
  • Other duties may be assigned
