Requirements

  • Expertise in Manufacturing Operations Management (MOM) encompassing MES, WM, QM, SCADA, and Smart Factory systems
  • Deep knowledge of SAP S/4HANA modules (PP, PP-PI, QM, PM, WM, EWM), SAP Digital Manufacturing (DM), and integrations like Plant Connectivity (PCo)/Sepasoft using OPC UA, MQTT, and API-based frameworks
  • Experience with non-SAP MES (e.g., PEO), PLM, IoT, AI/ML, data-driven analytics, BTP (Business Technology Platform), and Mendix for extensions and shop-floor applications
  • Proficiency in architectural leadership, solution design, governance, innovation (e.g., predictive maintenance, digital twins, POCs), and Agile delivery practices
  • Strong collaboration skills with Enterprise Architecture, Manufacturing Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, Quality, and Finance functions

Responsibilities

  • Define and drive the Manufacturing Systems Architecture Vision covering SAP S/4HANA, MES, PLM, and SCADA integration layers
  • Develop and own the Manufacturing Architecture Roadmap, aligning with enterprise goals and Industry 4.0 strategy
  • Provide architectural direction across MES, SAP DM, and Plant Connectivity integrations
  • Champion Smart Factory initiatives by integrating IoT, AI/ML, and data-driven analytics
  • Lead the design and delivery of end-to-end manufacturing solutions bridging SAP and non-SAP systems
  • Oversee system design reviews, technical feasibility, and integration architecture for Manufacturing, Quality, and Warehouse systems
  • Collaborate with System Engineers and Functional Analysts to deliver scalable solutions and define design patterns, data flow standards, and integration best practices
  • Govern the use of BTP and Mendix for extensions and shop-floor applications
  • Establish and chair the Manufacturing Architecture Review Board, define principles, review frameworks, and conduct design assurance
  • Drive alignment between projects, production support, and business transformation initiatives
  • Partner with Production Support Lead for post go-live sustainability, performance, and compliance
  • Evaluate and implement emerging technologies like predictive maintenance, machine learning, and digital twins
  • Lead proof-of-concepts (POCs) for new tools, integrations, and frameworks
  • Drive adoption of Agile practices and continuous improvement in design, testing, and deployment
  • Enable interoperability between MES and PLM for Engineering-to-Manufacturing handoffs
  • Partner with Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, and Finance leadership to translate goals into system capabilities and serve as a trusted advisor
