Requirements

  • College Diploma or University Degree in a related field and/or equivalent experience
  • 3-5 years of IT experience supporting end-user devices in an enterprise environment (PC, printers, scanners, mobile phones, tablets, etc.)
  • Experience with basic network concepts
  • Ability to work on rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays when required
  • Intermediate knowledge of the ITIL framework, with ability to apply service management principles (incident, change, and problem management)
  • Advanced proficiency in configuring, troubleshooting, and optimizing computerized systems (desktops, laptops, mobile devices, peripheral hardware)
  • Advanced understanding of remote support tools and incident ticketing systems
  • Familiarity with a broad range of IT concepts, practices, and procedures

Responsibilities

  • Maintain, analyze, troubleshoot, and repair computer systems, hardware, and peripherals
  • Build and configure client systems (PCs, laptops, printers, wireless devices, tablets) according to standard procedures
  • Maintain accurate asset management records for all IT equipment
  • Leverage corporate IT tools for remote device management and user support
  • Support GM-managed LAN network infrastructure hardware (access network hardware on mezzanine-level platforms using ladders or stairs as needed)
  • Provide support for teleconferencing devices
  • Maintain GM Best practice audit items, documentation, compliance checks, evidence collection, and continuous improvement
  • Perform tasks under the direction of the Site IT Manager, following established guidelines
  • Use effective written and verbal communication to collaborate with cross-functional teams and prioritize customer needs
  • Document, maintain, upgrade, and replace hardware and software systems as needed
