Requirements

Experience managing, mentoring, and developing a team of manufacturing engineers and technicians
Expertise in design, selection, installation, qualification, maintenance, and troubleshooting of semiautomated and automated manufacturing equipment
Knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma methodologies, and automated design
Ability to lead new equipment introduction and recommend automated solutions to optimize manufacturing processes
Proficiency in project management from concept through implementation
Capability to collaborate cross-functionally with departments like development, procurement, production, and Quality Assurance
Understanding of KPI reporting (daily, weekly, monthly) and continuous improvement initiatives
Willingness to work on-site in Chaska, MN

Responsibilities

Manage, mentor, and develop a team of manufacturing engineers and technicians to achieve departmental and company goals
Oversee design, selection, installation, qualification, maintenance, and troubleshooting of manufacturing equipment
Develop, install, support, and improve semiautomated and automated equipment processes to enhance performance (e.g., Preventative Maintenance, reject reduction, maximized output, reduced downtime)
Co-lead new equipment introduction and recommend automated solutions to optimize manufacturing flow and performance
Promote standardization in Automation practices and propose changes to increase efficiency, reduce waste, and lower costs while maintaining quality
Identify and implement continuous improvement solutions using Lean, Six Sigma, and automated design across the factory
Manage daily, weekly, and monthly KPI reporting
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (development, procurement, production) for seamless integration of new products and processes
Lead Engineering team project delivery from concept to implementation, ensuring timely and cost-effective solutions
Ensure manufacturing processes comply with industry standards in collaboration with Quality Assurance
