BS Engineering or Engineering Technology (prefer Mechanical Engineering background)
3+ years of experience in a manufacturing facility
Proficient computer skills, including AutoCad, Creo & MS applications (Excel, Access, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
Demonstrates effective leadership skills
Demonstrates strong organizational skills; ability to manage multiple projects at once
Responsibilities
Drive continuous improvement principles throughout the machine shop
Provide day to day manufacturing process support of production teams (methods, tooling, equipment, problem-solving)
Provide resources required by the shop floor to meet objectives in safety, quality, delivery, and cost (drawings, time studies, development of production rates, method & tool sheet maintenance, routing maintenance, REA & ECN processing, capacity planning, work center maintenance, new product quoting, standard work development, and P-order (prototype) tracking)
Ensure process capability by providing necessary resources to the shop floor including equipment, tooling, fixturing, methods, and processes
Work closely with manufacturing supervisors as well as other support groups and technical leaders to resolve issues that arise as related to safety, quality, delivery, and cost
Develops machining processes to meet goals
Responsible for implementing cell design and SMED Kaizens in the machining areas to transform value streams to future state
Responsible for supporting new product introductions by ensuring machined component process capability and production readiness
Facilitates kaizen events for continuous improvement through the elimination of wastes
