Requirements

  • Degree qualified in Physics, Maths, or various Engineering degrees (Aerospace, Mechanical, Manufacturing, Systems, Electrical/Electronic, General) to a minimum 2.2
  • ‘Engineering Mind-set’ – ability to take technical information and turn it into something usable for building products, find improvements and cost savings in production, and problem-solve when fixing issues
  • British Citizen or Dual UK national with British citizenship (security clearance requirements)
  • Ability to undergo HMG Basic Personnel Security Standard checks (BPSS)

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with design to influence the producibility of designs
  • Determine the ‘how’ to build products
  • Manage any tooling required to build products
  • Create instructions on how to build products
  • Control the cost of manufacture of products
  • Perform industrial validations of production lines and suppliers
  • Provide day-to-day support to operators building products
  • Develop the architecture of production lines
  • Develop new manufacturing processes
