Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field
  • Engineer I: 0-2 years of experience in manufacturing engineering (preferably in heavy equipment, automotive, or outdoor power equipment industries)
  • Engineer II: 2-4 years of experience in manufacturing engineering (preferably in heavy equipment, automotive, or outdoor power equipment industries)
  • Engineer III: 5+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering (preferably in heavy equipment, automotive, or outdoor power equipment industries)
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes such as welding, machining, stamping, painting/powder coating, and assembly operations (preferred)
  • Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or equivalent)
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and project management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work cross-functionally
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States (no sponsorship available)

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and improve manufacturing processes, equipment, and workflows for outdoor power equipment assembly and fabrication
  • Implement lean manufacturing principles, process standardization, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Collaborate with design engineering on new product introductions to ensure manufacturability, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness
  • Develop and maintain process documentation including work instructions, PFMEAs, control plans, and standard operating procedures
  • Analyze production data to identify bottlenecks, reduce downtime, and improve throughput
  • Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions for process-related issues impacting safety, quality, or efficiency
  • Specify, justify, and implement new equipment, tooling, and automation solutions
  • Train production staff on new processes, equipment, and best practices
  • Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards
  • Partner with maintenance teams to establish preventive maintenance strategies for critical equipment
