The Teams

This group’s mission is to build out platform technologies to support group service providers, external developers and internal developers in order ultimately help our SP’s be more successful. As a manager within Platform you’ll manage two of the following teams, depending on your skillset:

  • Automations: This team empowers internal product teams by building core automation capabilities—your work will directly multiply engineering efficiency across Jobber.
  • Channels: Focused on enabling franchise organizations to scale, Channels builds robust systems for managing complex account structures. You’ll solve real-world problems for customers with intricate operational needs.
  • Platform Experience: This team is the face of Jobber for third-party developers. You’ll help shape how external apps integrate with Jobber, supporting long-term ecosystem growth through developer experience, APIs, and extensibility tooling.

The Role

As a leader and technical expert in Software Engineering, you’ll manage two teams of 5 talented intermediate, Senior and Staff level engineers to ensure our Platform teams continue delivering value to our stakeholders. You’ll work closely with engineers, design and product to ensure the roadmap for each team balances quality, maintainability, innovation and speed.

Reporting to a Senior Manager, Software Engineering, the Manager, Software Engineering will work with members of your teams to support and develop their skills and career, as we work together to empower small businesses. In addition, you will be heavily involved in the technical direction of our platform, building it out to be reliable and performant as the company grows.
