Requirements

Candidates should possess 5+ years of relevant, hands-on and technical leadership experience as a senior or lead software engineer, along with 3+ years of people management experience with at least 3 direct reports. Strong skills and experience in systems design and full stack development with ReactJS, .NET and SQL are required, as well as a deep understanding of the software development lifecycle and the tools used. Experience working in a continuous integration and continuous delivery environment and with AWS is also necessary.

Responsibilities

The Manager, Software Engineering will manage 4-6 engineers, including coaching, mentorship, and performance reviews, while also being hands-on in working with code, conducting code reviews, and improving software development practices. They will partner closely with Architecture, QA, Infrastructure, and Ops teams to identify and push technical initiatives, collaborate with Product, PMO, stakeholders, and other teams to coordinate work and communicate updates, and make focused operational decisions to execute against goals and project plans. Participating in recruiting and retention efforts is also part of the role.
