Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent tech areas and/or equivalent experience
  • Solid experience in software development and solution design
  • Solid understanding of computer concepts (data structures, networking, concurrency, memory management, and algorithm analysis)
  • Proven ability to manage engineering teams, develop infrastructure budget estimates, and translate company strategies into tangible, actionable projects
  • Passionate about software development and know how to ensure its quality
  • Motivated by building up back-end services and SDKs, aware of their different architectures
  • Experienced working in an environment that uses and stimulates DevOps culture
  • Creative when solving problems and continuously seeking improvements for processes and solutions
  • Can communicate clearly with team, other teams, and company to identify issues and demands

Responsibilities

  • Participate in the architecture design of systems, focusing on customers (players or Wildlife employees)
  • Oversee two engineering teams responsible for delivering features critical to all company games
  • Oversee the design, development, and maintenance of scalable infrastructure components and tools, ensuring performance, reliability, and cost efficiency
  • Collaborate closely with leaders across engineering, product, and design to align priorities, balance trade-offs, and remove roadblocks
  • Collaborate across diverse teams and disciplines to speed up game development, streamline operations, and uncover new avenues for feature expansion and value generation
