Requirements

The Senior Project Engineering Manager should have a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, preferably with a focus on Project Engineering or a related field, and possess at least 10 years of experience in project engineering, with a significant portion in the LNG or energy sector. Strong leadership and management skills are required, along with experience managing engineering teams and budgets. Familiarity with EPC execution and understanding of project controls, procurement, construction, and commissioning processes is essential. Knowledge of industry standards, regulatory codes, and company standards is also necessary.

Responsibilities

The Senior Project Engineering Manager will oversee the management of direct reports, including Project Engineers and Discipline Leads, ensuring the delivery of engineering scope, budget, and progress reporting. They will be responsible for managing all aspects of engineering execution, coordinating with project controls, procurement, construction, and commissioning teams. Specifically, they will handle technical issues between EPC contractors and owner-furnished equipment suppliers, manage RFIs, review drawings and deliverables, identify quality issues, support systems completion and commissioning, and manage change processes. Furthermore, they will participate in project safety programs, attend meetings, support turnover dossiers, and build relationships with contractor counterparts, all while ensuring compliance with contractual requirements and industry standards.
