Manager of Salesforce Administration

Position Overview

Bloomerang is seeking a Manager of Salesforce Administration to lead our Salesforce team and oversee all organizational requests, including change management and governance. This role requires strong communication, prioritization, and project management skills within the Salesforce ecosystem. A deep understanding of solution design and Salesforce architecture concepts is essential for improving the effectiveness and efficiency of our sales funnel.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Vision & Roadmap: Define and communicate a clear vision and strategic roadmap for the Salesforce platform, aligning it with overall business objectives.
  • Release Management: Manage the deployment schedule for administrative changes, ensuring quality assurance and testing.
  • Team Workload and Capacity Management: Triage incoming support tickets and administrative requests, assigning tasks based on individual strengths and development goals.
  • Maintenance Planning: Conduct proactive system maintenance, including security reviews, release updates, and system health checks.
  • Team Mentorship: Lead and mentor a team of Salesforce administrators and developers, providing guidance, support, and professional development.
  • Team Performance Management: Set clear goals, conduct performance reviews, and foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Technical Direction: Provide expert technical guidance and best practices for Salesforce solutions, architecture, and integrations.
  • Operational Health Ownership: Monitor system performance, usage, and data storage, proactively addressing potential issues.
  • Platform Governance Enforcement: Ensure the team adheres to architectural standards, data policies, and best practices defined by the Salesforce Solution Architect.
  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate potential risks related to Salesforce projects and operations.
  • Translate Business Needs: Partner with stakeholders to understand challenges and collaborate with the Project Manager and Architect to refine requirements for the development backlog.
  • Strategic Roadmap Input: Partner with the Salesforce Architect to provide insights on platform capabilities, administrative effort, and technical debt to inform the strategic roadmap.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience as a Salesforce Administrator.
  • 2+ years of direct people management experience, with a proven track record of coaching and developing a technical team.
  • Deep knowledge of Salesforce administration, including governance, security, and data management best practices.
  • Salesforce Certified Administrator (ADM 201) required.

Nice to Haves

  • Salesforce Certified Advanced Administrator or other relevant certifications.
  • Demonstrated experience working in a team environment with dedicated Architect and/or Project Manager roles.
  • Experience in establishing and managing operational metrics (SLAs, ticket resolution times).
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
