Requirements

  • A minimum of 7 years’ experience in project management or product development
  • Expertise in managing creative projects, retail packaging, print production or label development
  • A passion for brand development and articulating a clear brand story to customers
  • PMP preferred
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suites, FlexPLM (or equivalent product development system) and MS Office Suite; expertise in Excel preferred

Responsibilities

  • Lead Packaging Strategy & Execution: Own the end-to-end strategy, development, and execution of packaging programs across all Nordstrom Product Group categories, ensuring alignment with brand standards, merchandising plans, and financial goals
  • Drive Roadmap & Team Management: Develop and manage a 2-year packaging roadmap, allocate work across project managers and vendors, and guide graphic designers to meet timelines, budgets, and deliverables
  • Cross-Functional & Vendor Collaboration: Partner with internal teams to forecast needs and align production timelines, while building strong vendor relationships to negotiate pricing, secure terms, and ensure quality, cost-effective solutions
  • Creative & Operational Leadership: Lead packaging photo shoots and visual asset creation, manage inventory levels to balance MOQ compliance and minimize excess, and communicate complex updates to stakeholders
  • Innovation & Sustainability: Champion process improvements, material innovations, and sustainability practices to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and support corporate responsibility goals
  • Reporting & Talent Development: Deliver annual packaging performance reports with actionable insights, and identify and nurture talent through targeted development and leadership opportunities
  • Manage the Project Management team, oversee inventory programs, negotiate costs, and direct the procurement of packaging materials
