Requirements

Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree in life sciences, public health, social work, policy, or a related field, with an advanced degree being preferred. A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in patient advocacy, medical affairs, public health, or coalition building is required, with a preference for experience in oncology, hematology, or cell therapy. Strong understanding of the biotech/pharma industry, including drug development and regulatory frameworks, is essential, as is a demonstrated ability to collaborate across functions and influence at all levels. Exceptional interpersonal skills and cultural awareness are also necessary.

Responsibilities

The Manager, Patient Advocacy & Engagement will build and maintain trusted relationships with patient leaders, advocacy organizations, caregivers, and professional societies in the blood cancer community. This role involves designing and delivering community-focused initiatives, managing patient advocacy grants and sponsorships, and coordinating with internal teams to integrate patient perspectives into clinical trial activities, medical education, and external engagement. The individual will represent Orca Bio at advocacy events, translate community insights into actionable recommendations, and champion a patient-first culture by elevating patient stories and unmet needs across the company.
