Requirements

7+ years in operations, field engineering, or deployment management
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Aviation Management, or related technical discipline
FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate
Proficiency with drone, robotics, or complex electromechanical systems
Deep understanding of FAA frameworks (Part 107, Part 91, BVLOS)
Experience using KPIs and operational data to inform decisions
Strong record of working with Engineering, Product, and Sales teams
Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills
Experience managing multiple concurrent deployments
Certifications: SMS / Safety Management System Certification, PMP, Lean Six Sigma, or equivalent (preferred)

Responsibilities

Lead the full operational lifecycle of deployed drone systems
Ensure deployed systems operate safely, reliably, and in full compliance with Flock standards, FAA regulations, and customer mission requirements
Define and execute large-scale operational strategies that balance safety, efficiency, and scalability
Oversee complex field deployments, including hardware, software, and network integration
Build trusted partnerships with customers and translate technical requirements into actionable field plans
Design and iterate operational workflows, SOPs, and safety protocols to drive efficiency and repeatability
Use KPIs and operational data to inform decisions and drive continuous improvement
Collaborate with Engineering, Product, and Sales teams to align operational execution with product and customer needs
Manage multiple concurrent deployments using tools such as Asana, Jira, or Smartsheet
Communicate effectively with stakeholders and adapt to a fast-paced, evolving startup environment
