Candidates should possess over five years of experience in cybersecurity, risk management, and incident response. Expertise in SIEM and EDR tools like Crowdstrike and XSIAM is required, along with strong knowledge of Microsoft operating systems and Linux distributions (Amazon Linux, RHEL). Experience with access controls, encryption standards, incident response procedures, cloud technologies (AWS, Azure), Active Directory, Entra, and scripting languages such as Python is necessary. Familiarity with compliance frameworks like MITRE ATT&CK, NIST, and GDPR, as well as a strong understanding of audit and monitoring, risk response and recovery, data communications, computer operations security, and telecommunications security is expected. A curiosity in multiple security domains is also a requirement.
The Manager, IT Security Engineering will lead and enhance cybersecurity operations, orchestrate threat detection, manage security incidents, and drive continuous improvement across the security infrastructure. This role involves collaborating with Security, Risk and Compliance (SRC) stakeholders to define security capability needs, assisting with technology evaluations and proof of concept requirements, and researching new relevant technologies. Responsibilities include documenting research findings, creating documentation for test cases and findings reports, formalizing and updating security policies and procedures, and providing regular metrics, incident trends, and risk posture to senior leadership. The manager will also optimize alerting mechanisms, refine detection logic, manage MSP team members for security tool support, and monitor ticket queues for events and incidents.
