Requirements

  • Based in Tokyo, Japan (on-site)
  • Ability to report to Marketing Services Lead for Japan with dotted line to Head of Insights for AP (Singapore)
  • Expertise in Voice of the Consumer (VoC) Insights practice
  • Experience translating business questions into research objectives and leveraging existing assets
  • Knowledge of research methodologies and vendor management (managing preferred research vendor list, selecting best vendor at best price)
  • Skills in project management for research and insights projects
  • Ability to package and sell insights and marketing measurement analytics capabilities
  • Experience in revenue pipeline management, operating expenses, and revenue associated with client marketing campaigns/projects
  • Alignment with regional and global Insights & Analytics best practices

Responsibilities

  • Lead and deliver research and insights projects and associated revenue in partnership with Visa Client Marketing and Visa Consulting & Advisory (VCA) teams
  • Provide subject matter expertise for Client Marketing and VCA project opportunities and proposals
  • Devise best research methodologies for projects
  • Manage and maintain preferred research vendor list and identify best vendor for each project at best price
  • Oversee quality of proposals and outputs of research and insights projects to ensure client satisfaction and repeat engagements
  • Project manage research and insights work on behalf of Client Marketing and VCA teams
  • Prospect, scope, execute, and deliver insights for clients and merchant partners to generate incremental marketing services revenue
  • Develop VoC content and thought leadership insights for client and merchant engagements
  • Partner with Client Marketing for revenue pipeline management, operating expenses, and revenue
  • Work in close alignment with regional Insights & Analytics team to leverage best practices and resources
  • Educate and support clients on research journey, translate and showcase actionable research learnings, and lead insights consulting engagements
  • Develop and sell VoC Insights and thought leadership as VAS, including sales materials, sharing sessions, training, and new capabilities
  • Advise internal Visa stakeholders (Sales, Product, Merchant/Acquiring, Digital Partnerships, Corp Strategy) with insights for strategic decisions in Japan
  • Build working relationships with key stakeholders in Japan, AP Regional Hub, and Global Insights & Analytics team
  • Manage research budget and forecasting
