Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree required. Master’s Degree in Nursing or other field preferred
Current State of Texas of Florida RN License required. Compact preferred
Minimum five (5) years of nursing experience
Minimum two (2) years management experience preferred
Ability to work well with others and have good communication skills
Regular attendance is required

Responsibilities

Manage assigned Health Services staff promoting a healthy work and learning environment
Ensure adequate training of new staff and ongoing training of existing staff
Maintain adequate coverage in the assigned health services area and provide justification for changes in staffing levels
Hire, counsel, and provide performance management to staff
Provide feedback and coaching to staff on an ongoing basis
Perform timely annual performance reviews for all assigned staff
Monitor expenses and compliance with the budget along with the VP and Director of Health Services
Provide justification for necessary capital and operational expenses with the VP and Director of Health Services or Operations Manager
Ensure effective and efficient utilization of resources in daily management decisions
Support and operationalize the integrated model of care
Lead quality improvement projects designed to improve clinical outcomes and patient satisfaction
Participate in nursing research activities and support evidence-based pediatric nursing
Model a caring philosophy focusing on health promotion and safety education
Champion age-appropriate developmental considerations and holistic patient care
Direct health services planning and policy making through constructive collaboration in key committees
Champion continuous improvement activities and serve as a coach and mentor to clinical staff
Perform other duties as assigned
