Requirements

Technical expertise in engineering problems related to Energy Management Systems (EMS), Distribution Management System (DMS), SCADA, Outage Management System (OMS), and Distributed Energy Resource Management System (DERMS)
Knowledge of NERC, NPCC, ISO-NE, Eversource processes, state regulatory policies, and future RTO/ITC policies and procedures
Understanding of project economics, ISO generation markets, ISO generation pricing, and their effects on Transmission Business and customers
Experience with Geographic Information System (GIS) extraction, model build, and model validation processes for OMS and DMS
Ability to develop technology deployment plans, procedures to track/prioritize tool development, and OT product roadmaps
Leadership skills to direct supervisors, engineers, technicians, consultants, and provide guidance to Transmission Planning and Distribution Project Teams
Skills in preparing documents/testimony, written responses, presentations for regulatory requirements and proceedings
Capability to manage staff development, coaching, selection, and ensure technical/behavioral skills alignment

Responsibilities

Plan, schedule, and manage engineering/technical resources for developing/maintaining static/dynamic models for EMS, combined T&D SCADA, DMS in support of real-time System Operations at SOC
Develop and update procedures to track and prioritize tool development for System Operations
Provide technical leadership, elicit ideas for unique/complex engineering problems, and account for major technical recommendations
Lead design and execution of strategic implementation plans for OT systems related to electric distribution system modernization across three-state territory
Direct/manage supervisors, engineers, technicians, consultants; guide Transmission Planning and Distribution Project Teams
Ensure participation/understanding of project economics, ISO markets/pricing effects; prepare regulatory documents/testimony/presentations
Oversee daily electric distribution model from post-GIS extraction through model build/validation for OMS/DMS
Assist in establishing/monitoring goals, policies, plans, standards, performance objectives, budget for Eversource power system operations
Analyze/recommend resource levels; monitor operating/financial objectives for alignment with organizational/corporate goals
Provide operating support/maintenance of SCADA/EMS displays; coordinate outage applications with ISO-NE
Communicate with internal/external stakeholders on planned system conditions related to OT processes on EMS/DMS/SCADA/OMS/DERMS/SCADA front-end servers
Develop technology deployment plans to expand/upgrade/enhance technology portfolios
Develop/supervise Grid Operations Technology staff; implement programs for technical/behavioral skills; manage/select/coach/develop staff
Assist in developing/implementing best practices for efficient/effective T&D system operations/dispatch and technological enhancements for Control Centers
Ensure accuracy of SCADA database, T&D SCADA models in EMS/DMS, and validation of distribution models in DMS/OMS
Provide engineering leadership in OT product roadmap planning
