Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage all aspects of financial planning and analysis for the Protection Line of Business and at a Divisional level
  • Drive financial planning, in-depth financial analysis, and process optimization for the Western Protection line of business, as well as oversee global expense management
  • Develop and maintain the company's global expense planning and Western Protection business planning processes, including annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning
  • Collaborate with department heads to gather financial data and assumptions for budgeting and forecasting purposes
  • Analyze financial results, identify trends, and provide recommendations to improve financial performance and operational efficiency
  • Monitor and report on key financial metrics to senior management, highlighting areas of concern or opportunities for improvement
  • Conduct in-depth financial analysis, including variance analysis, profitability analysis, and scenario modelling, to support strategic decision-making
  • Identify risks and opportunities in the financial forecast and provide recommendations to mitigate risks or optimize opportunities
  • Develop financial models and dashboards to track and communicate key financial metrics and KPIs
  • Ensure stakeholders are kept up to date with timely, complete and meaningful analysis
  • Partner with both business-as-usual (BAU) and project teams to continuously assess and enhance financial systems and applications
  • Drive improvements in planning and reporting tools to support scalability, accuracy, and efficiency across FP&A processes
  • Champion automation and digital transformation initiatives that streamline workflows
