Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in related discipline or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
  • Minimum 7 years' related experience, including participation in enterprise level engagements in lean manufacturing initiatives
  • At least 2 years of experience in a leadership role
  • Ability to work in a warehouse environment (Constant)
  • Ability to sit, bend, stoop, climb, and stand for long periods of time in one place (Frequent)
  • Ability to lift and move items of various sizes and shapes up to 50 lbs. (Frequent)
  • Exposure to frequent movement of motorized equipment throughout production floor (Constant)
  • Qualify as a U.S. person under ITAR and EAR, or eligible for export license approval

Responsibilities

  • Leads the development and implementation of activities in production area(s) to meet production goals, quality, and cost objectives
  • Prioritizes production schedules based on product introduction, equipment efficiency, and materials supply
  • Leads and performs all work consistent with the company's quality system and manufacturing practices, including maintaining a clean and orderly production area
  • Receives assignments in the form of objectives with goals and the process to meet them
  • Administers company policies that directly affect subordinate employees
  • Exercises judgment within defined procedures and policies to determine appropriate action
  • Frequently interacts with subordinate supervisors and functional peer groups
  • Works on issues where analysis requires review of relevant factors
  • Follows, promotes, and enforces the company's safety and environmental policies, practices, and procedures; assists with safety investigations and corrective actions
  • Provides direct supervision to professional individual contributors and support personnel
  • Coordinates with other departments on planning and scheduling production runs, changeovers, preventative maintenance, work order assignments, and other related activities
  • Demonstrates knowledge of LEAN manufacturing principles
  • Other duties as assigned
