Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or related field and 3 years’ experience in facilities management, construction management, mechanical maintenance, engineering, or related area OR 5 years’ experience in facilities management, construction management, mechanical maintenance, engineering, or related area
- General Facilities Services / Overall Building Maintenance Experience (3-5 years optimal)
- Electrical, plumbing, and/or mechanical experience
- Leadership skills – Able to lead, motivate, and develop others
- Communication/Interpersonal skills
- Problem solving skills – Root cause and breakdown analysis experience
- Customer service
- EPA Universal Certification (soft skill set)
- PMP Certification (soft skill set)
- Lean Six Sigma (soft skill set)
- Preferred: General Maintenance, Supervising Associates, Working on cross-functional teams or projects
Responsibilities
- Oversee all general predictive and preventative maintenance of overall building (Plumbing, Electrical, Structural, etc.) for multiple facilities within the region (usually less than 200-mile radius)
- Directly lead technicians that conduct the hands-on maintenance at the facilities (10–15 direct reports)
- Travel approximately 50% or more within the region
- Lead, motivate, and develop technicians
- Work directly with Store Managers on their facility services needs
- Lead daily calls with technicians and hold them accountable
- Oversee budget
- Manage and evaluate workload
- Ensure tickets are being escalated properly
- Work directly with different vendors and contractors if needed
- Handle reporting and analytics
- Recruit and hire technicians
