Requirements

  • University undergraduate or post-graduate degree in Communications or Politics/Law desired
  • 3+ years' experience in environment shaping and/or patient advocacy role
  • Clear focus on results; initiative, speed and good balance between structured approach and creativity
  • Communications excellence: ability to successfully execute high-stakes, high impact product communications strategies
  • High personal integrity: ability to operate in ambiguous settings, maintain values and achieve business outcomes
  • Critical strategic thinking: ability to facilitate strategic discussion both for brand and environmental shaping both internally and externally
  • Interpersonal, influence and negotiation skills: strong interpersonal, networking and communication skills
  • Collaborative mindset: the ability to place “We” greater than “Me” in the way work is performed and results achieved
  • Project management skills: proactive execution, budget management and business planning. Experience dealing with agencies and service providers
  • Demonstrable knowledge of Hong Kong healthcare system, pharmaceutical access environment and key player interests

Responsibilities

  • Work cross-functionally at affiliate and Hub level to ensure a structured, coordinated, and synergistic Environmental Shaping (ES) approach
  • Localize a comprehensive local ES strategy and action plan to achieve market access for prioritized new products to be launched
  • Build stakeholder map and engagement plan and establish partnering and coalition opportunities to maintain and enhance future relationships with external stakeholders, including government officials, industry associations, patient groups and media, in key therapeutic areas
  • Post strategy development and stakeholder mapping, execute Hong Kong Environmental Shaping strategy in partnership with key cross-functional members (marketing, medical, PRA) clearly assigning and aligning on roles and responsibilities
  • Establish strategic partnerships and resilient network with local key scientific societies, patient organizations and key influencers in the therapeutic area
  • Lead external communications plan delivery, including readiness for data, regulatory and reimbursement milestones
  • Contribute to strategic planning of the internal communications to outreach the therapeutic area communities
  • Operate with full understanding to ensure adherence to the highly regulated pharmaceutical environment, including but not limited to HKAPI code of practices
  • Enhance the reputation of Lilly brand in the market and demonstrate Lilly’s commitment to improving patients’ life
  • Responsible for the development and implementation of communication and public affairs strategy that drive a favourable environment facilitating patient access to our innovative products
  • Responsible for the development and implementation of patient education strategies that empower patients to become active partners of their disease care
