Requirements

  • 10-15 years experience in Engineering or equivalent (ideal)
  • 8+ years in a supervisory position (ideal)

Responsibilities

  • Manages the Structural/Mechanical and Electrical/I&C groups in the Design Engineering Department
  • Maintains staff proficiency through hiring, supporting, and evaluating staff
  • Manages the department budget
  • Oversees budgets, schedules, and milestones
  • Develops and implements strategies/programs to achieve departmental goals
  • Manages the risks associated with Engineering Changes to the plant
  • Manages the conception, execution, and quality of Engineering designs, ensuring they meet business goals and the needs of the plant
  • Acts as the technical conscience of the plant, ensuring the team’s technical accuracy is correct
  • Works cross-functionally to ensure that design changes to the plant meet the needs of the maintenance and operations departments
