The company is seeking a Content Marketing Manager to lead its content marketing team. This role will be responsible for the content strategy and editorial direction of the department, with the goal of driving brand awareness, audience engagement, and supporting lead generation. The ideal candidate will be innovative and creative, willing to experiment with content approaches for a B2B audience. Responsibilities will span various content formats, including blogs, reports, pillar pages, web pages, and interactive content, all aimed at boosting organizational results.

This position reports to the Director of Growth Marketing and will collaborate closely with web, design, and video teams, as well as other marketing departments to support marketing campaigns.

Requirements

  • Ability to own the content strategy, editorial direction, and editorial calendar for the content marketing team.
  • Experience managing and overseeing the core stages of the content marketing process: research, ideation, production, publication, promotion, measurement, and optimization.
  • Experience managing and overseeing SEO strategy, including keyword research, competitive analysis, on-page SEO, and performance-driven initiatives.
  • Experience managing and mentoring a team of content marketing specialists and freelance writers.
  • Ability to ensure content consistency across publishing channels, maintaining brand voice, messaging, and style.
  • Proficiency in defining content success KPIs, tracking, reporting, and analyzing content performance for optimization and ROI demonstration.
  • Strong collaboration skills with cross-functional teams (design, web, product marketing, revenue marketing).
  • Commitment to staying updated on the latest industry trends.

Responsibilities

  • Own the content strategy, editorial direction, and editorial calendar for the content marketing team, focusing on driving brand awareness, audience engagement, and supporting lead-generation efforts through relevant, high-quality content.
  • Manage and oversee the core stages of the content marketing process—from research, ideation, and production to publication, promotion, measurement, and optimization—for a customer blog, prospect blog, and data-driven consumer research reports.
  • Manage and oversee the search engine optimization (SEO) strategy to drive organic search visibility, focusing on keyword research, competitive analysis, on-page SEO, and performance-driven initiatives, such as pillar pages, glossary pages, and other strategic content efforts.
  • Manage and mentor a team of in-house content marketing specialists and a network of freelance writers to ensure high-quality content that adheres to in-house content and AP Style guidelines.
  • Ensure content consistency across publishing channels, maintaining cohesive brand voice, messaging, and style that aligns with company standards and resonates with target audiences.
  • Define key performance indicators (KPIs) for content success and regularly track, report, and analyze content performance to optimize strategies and demonstrate return on investment (ROI).
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, web, product marketing, and revenue marketing, to ensure alignment between content efforts and broader marketing and business initiatives.
