Jerry.ai is seeking a smart, scrappy, and customer-savvy Manager, Business Development to expand the supply side of our insurance marketplace. This role involves identifying, pitching, and onboarding new insurance carriers, ultimately enhancing the value we offer our customers. The ideal candidate thrives on the challenge of forging difficult partnerships, thinking creatively to overcome objections, and collaborating cross-functionally to present compelling solutions.

What You'll Do

  • Develop creative solutions for complex and strategically significant business problems.
  • Be both strategic and hands-on: create partnership plans, collaborate with cross-functional teams for execution, and own the results.
  • Source and close partnerships with insurance carriers to grow the marketplace.
  • Create tailored pitches and solutions, particularly for partners who may initially be hesitant.
  • Represent Jerry professionally, clearly, and insightfully in external meetings.

What We're Looking For

  • 4+ years of experience in business development, partnerships, strategy, or similar roles, preferably in a high-growth startup or consulting environment.
  • Proven track record of driving and closing complex, high-value deals.
  • Exceptional drive and intellectual curiosity; a self-starter focused on impact and outcomes.
  • World-class communication and influencing skills, capable of engaging effectively with senior executives.
  • An entrepreneurial spirit with a knack for finding innovative solutions.
  • A strong sense of ownership and urgency, with the ability to thrive in ambiguous situations.
