Requirements

  • Professional accounting qualification (e.g., CPA, CIMA, ACCA)
  • Experience in management accounting or similar role
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial software (e.g., SAP, Oracle)
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Fluent in English (verbal and written)
  • French and German speaking
  • Ability to communicate complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders
  • Time management skills and ability to meet deadlines
  • Strong experience in management accounting, including month-end close, accruals, prepayments, and variance analysis
  • Well-versed in IFRS, US GAAP with a solid track record of applying standards in practice
  • Sound understanding of financial reporting and statutory accounting requirements
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of ESG reporting requirements relevant to Europe, including evolving regulatory frameworks such as the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD)
  • Experience in supporting statutory audit processes and resolving audit queries promptly

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the month-end close process is completed accurately and on time
  • Support the wider budgeting and forecasting cycle, including preparation of data, analysis, and commentary to inform business decision-making
  • Manage compliance with internal controls and adherence to corporate policies
  • Assist in the preparation and submission of tax returns and support tax compliance, including providing timely and accurate information to external tax advisors for corporate tax return filings
  • Serve as the point of contact for ESG matters, coordinating data collection across the business, responding to corporate information requests, and supporting the external ESG reporting process
  • Assist with the implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of robust month-end processes and internal controls
  • Provide flexible support to the wider finance team, including cover during absences, cross-functional collaboration, and involvement in ad hoc projects or transformation initiatives
