Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (required)
  • 10+ years of nuclear engineering experience, with 5+ years in electrical systems design, modification, or major projects
  • Direct experience with Extended Power Uprates, electrical upgrades, switchyard/grid integration, or equivalent $1B+ projects
  • Strong knowledge of NRC, INPO, IEEE, NERC, and ANSI codes and standards
  • Demonstrated ability to lead electrical engineering teams and coordinate with EPCs, OEMs, and site operations
  • Experience supporting regulatory submittals and addressing NRC/INPO or NERC compliance questions (preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Lead the electrical scope for EPU projects, ensuring safety, quality, cost, and schedule performance
  • Direct and review electrical system designs, ensuring compliance with IEEE, NRC, NERC, and fleet standards
  • Coordinate with EPC contractors, OEMs, and site engineering to ensure compatibility and constructability of electrical modifications
  • Support Owner’s Engineer and independent reviews to validate design quality, operability, and reliability
  • Provide technical leadership for resolving electrical issues to maintain project and outage milestones
  • Ensure electrical designs support long-term operability, maintainability, and integration into the fleet’s systems
