Completion of a formal millwright training program (e.g., Millwright apprenticeship program, ABC, Military, Associates Degree in Maintenance Technology, etc.)
Millwright certification required
Minimum of five (5) years of industrial/chemical plant maintenance in a millwright and/or related industrial rotating equipment maintenance
Good communication skills (verbal and written)
Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
Basic understanding of a Computer Maintenance Management System (CMMS)

Adheres to and carries out all company environmental rules, policies, standards, and procedures
Reports injuries, incidents, and hazards to unit supervision as soon as reasonably possible
Conducts tasks with appropriate PPE as assigned
Responsible for personal safety and that of fellow employees
Participates in and promotes the Continuous Improvement Process
Possesses troubleshooting skills to define problems with plant machinery and participates in failure analysis on equipment as requested
Provides quality repairs to centrifugal and reciprocal pumps, compressors, and other rotating equipment
Sets up, maintains, and revises as needed the documentation for the unit’s rotating equipment
Interprets, maintains, and initiates necessary revisions to the equipment documentation and repair history, including all critical measurements before and after repairs
Develops as needed spare equipment status tracking data and reports to unit operations as requested
Provides technical information and assists planner and validator in planning and scheduling equipment PM’s and repairs
Reviews and recommends additions, revisions, and deletions of spare parts stocked in the storeroom and in the CMMS Bill of Material lists for all rotating equipment
Reviews and recommends equipment specifications changes. Documents changes in the CMMS
Develops, reviews, and revises as needed equipment and component repair/rebuild “Standard Job Plans” and as needed equipment and component “Preventative Maintenance Job Plans”
The technician should be capable of writing an assembly and testing procedure excerpted from the equipment manuals
Participates and assists in the training of company and contractor technicians
