Requirements

3 years of manufacturing experience
Strong hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and industrial skills
Some PLC experience
Experience with mechanical systems (e.g., gear boxes, chains, sprockets, motors, seals, bearings)
Experience with product manuals (e.g., reading and applying knowledge to make repairs)
Experience troubleshooting mechanical breakdowns (pinpointing and fixing breakdowns)
Experience reading mechanical drawings (e.g., hydraulics, pneumatics)

Responsibilities

Perform highly diversified duties to install and maintain production machines and the plant facility’s equipment
Perform scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service
Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment
Perform simple machinist duties and responsibilities
Perform mechanic skills including mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting, and repair of production machines
Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service
Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test, and make adjustments
Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment, and plant facilities
Perform a variety of plumbing maintenance and carpentry functions
Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment in performing duties
Detect faulty operations and defective material; report those and any unusual situations to proper supervision
Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas
Act as Subject Matter Expert (SME) on a few plant production systems and equipment (mechanical)
Perform all minor mechanical rebuilds and assist in all major rebuilds (mechanical)
Perform set-up procedures on some production plant equipment (mechanical)
Troubleshoot and repair most mechanical issues on plant production equipment (mechanical)
Understand operation of most auxiliary support systems (mechanical)
Replace all like-for-like electrical components and set them up (electrical)
Troubleshoot some electrical issues using proper tools and techniques (electrical)
Perform additional related duties as assigned
