Requirements

  • 7+ years of hands-on repair of electrical and mechanical systems on machinery
  • Experienced with hydraulic systems – repair and maintenance
  • Experienced with mechanical machine alignment checks and adjustments
  • Education/training in electronics and electrical systems desirable
  • Forklift license
  • CNC machine repair experience, gantry mill repair experience required
  • Familiar with Fanuc, Mazak, Siemens CNC controllers, PLC controllers, and servo systems
  • Strong troubleshooting skills with electrical and mechanical metal cutting equipment
  • Good communication and computer skills
  • Ability to work in & with diverse teams both internally & externally
  • Flexible to work various hours & schedules, pending business needs and urgency
  • Safety first mentality, highest of quality standards, self-starter and results driven
  • Positive mindset, proactive thinking

Responsibilities

  • Document repair work, write reports, create documents
  • Repair/replace defective equipment using hand tools, power tools, & assemble equipment
  • Perform routine preventive maintenance ensuring machines continue to run smoothly, operate efficiently, and the physical condition does not deteriorate
  • Diagnose mechanical & electrical problems … determine how to correct them, checking blueprints, repair manuals, and parts catalogs as necessary
  • Assemble, install and/or repair wiring, electrical and electronic components, pipe systems and plumbing, machinery, and equipment
  • Train, and where needed lead others in department to ensure departmental objectives are met
  • Routine maintenance and repair of facilities and grounds
  • Other duties as assigned
