Requirements

Flexibility to carry out additional work functions associated with the role and support continuous improvement
Ability to work overtime across shifts to provide maintenance cover for holidays, sick leave, shutdown periods, busy periods, and as required
Technical expertise to act as a subject matter expert in relevant equipment, instruments, and systems for root cause investigations and lead investigator role

Responsibilities

Maximise the availability of all equipment to ensure full operations schedule adherence and minimum response times to utility system issues
Monitor day-to-day performance of systems, troubleshoot performance trends, and anticipate, solve, or escalate problems as appropriate
Perform maintenance and improvement work on all equipment to enable full operations schedule adherence
Support the Preventative Maintenance program by carrying out effective maintenance routines and repairs to prolong equipment life and optimise efficiency
Develop and implement equipment-specific maintenance strategies to improve reliability and performance in line with best practices
Support optimisation of current Planned Maintenance procedures
Work with the Engineering Systems Team Lead to develop a reliability-centred asset care strategy, including equipment criticality and spares assessment, predictive maintenance, fit-for-purpose PM program, technician-driven RCA, and FMEA techniques
Maintain safety and regulatory equipment at all times and report defects
Ensure accurate recording of all work completed in Maximo (e.g., durations, spare parts used) and promote its usage
Liaise with site stores team on procurement of spare and replacement parts for utility systems
Ensure critical spare parts lists are identified and appropriate stock levels maintained
Manage detailed technical files and equipment history logs for all equipment
Provide support to Operations, Validation, Engineering, and Quality as required
Support new product introductions and new equipment implementation
Assist in managing external contractors and suppliers for engineering
Support development of training packs for all equipment
