High School Graduate or equivalent (GED)
Associates degree with a Technical focus or 18 months of related experience in general industry or successful completion of the ATS Technician Progression Program
Understanding of basic electrical and mechanical systems with ability to perform repairs
Ability to use basic hand tools
Ability to stand, walk, use hands/fingers, reach, climb/balance, stoop/kneel/crouch/crawl, talk/hear, lift/move 50+ pounds, use close/color vision
Tolerance for factory environment: loud noise, hazardous materials, greasy/slippery floors, outside weather, risk of electrical shock

Responsibilities

Perform entry to mid-level break-fix and preventative maintenance, including adjusting functional parts, repairing/replacing defective parts, and reconditioning/repairing machine tools
Identify needed parts, supplies, and repair items
Provide support and backup for other department members as needed by leadership
Maintain awareness of Maintenance Industry Standards
Assure compliance with 5S and housekeeping standards
Participate in Continuous Improvement (CI) activities, including processes, results, and cost savings
Setup and operate simple machining operations (e.g., lathe, drill press, grinder, metalworking tools) to make/repair parts; perform basic welding tasks
Update records and review CMMS history
Perform basic troubleshooting of control systems circuitry
Complete technical self-study programs for career development
Follow all safety policies, rules, regulations, instructions, and guidelines; maintain situational awareness and identify unsafe behaviors/conditions
