Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year of mechanical work experience documented in work history or graduate of an industrial maintenance training program (can be combination of employers)
  • Basic mechanical or maintenance skills
  • Knowledge in welding, hydraulics, basic electricity, power transmission, pneumatics, and plumbing
  • Able to read and understand assignments
  • Able to communicate orally and in writing
  • Willing to use basic hand tools, various electrical and pneumatic power tools and equipment
  • Willing to lift 50 pounds, climb stairs 120 feet and ladders up to 60 feet
  • Willing to stand for long periods of time, withstand extreme hot, cold, inclement weather, and odors
  • Willing to hear/respond to two-way radio
  • Willing to learn Tyson software for work orders and daily documentation
  • Willing to further education through outside training, company testing program, and vendor training

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing all equipment and company assets
  • Maintaining a safe work environment
  • Adhering to Tyson policies and procedures
  • Making work orders and filling out daily documentation in Tyson software
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor
