Requirements

B.Sc. Engineering or Technologist Diploma (Mechanical or Electrical), Journeyman in Mechanical or Electrical disciplines, or a combination of education and equivalent experience
3-5 years’ experience planning and organizing maintenance in an industrial manufacturing environment
Excellent understanding of manufacturing equipment technologies and limitations
Familiarity with condition based monitoring tools
Ability to read blueprints and schematic drawing, Computer Assisted Design (CAD) is an asset
Experience working with Microsoft Office applications and CMMS software packages, Oracle eAM and/or Maximo is an asset
Good problem solving and analytical skills
Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment
Highly organized with an attention to detail

Responsibilities

Develop work plans for maintenance activities containing appropriate work instructions, labour estimates, and material and tool requirements
Prepare weekly schedules for routine maintenance downturns and major equipment shutdowns
Conduct regular meetings with maintenance and operations departments to establish maintenance work priorities
Work with the maintenance team to develop and continuously improve maintenance programs
Monitor and prepare regular reports on key maintenance metrics
Support Maintenance Supervisor in execution of maintenance schedules and report on performance
Perform other duties as they might be assigned
