Requirements

  • B.Sc. Engineering or Technologist Diploma (Mechanical or Electrical), Journeyman in Mechanical or Electrical disciplines, or a combination of education and equivalent experience
  • 3-5 years’ experience planning and organizing maintenance in an industrial manufacturing environment
  • Excellent understanding of manufacturing equipment technologies and limitations
  • Familiarity with condition based monitoring tools
  • Ability to read blueprints and schematic drawing, Computer Assisted Design (CAD) is an asset
  • Experience working with Microsoft Office applications and CMMS software packages, Oracle eAM and/or Maximo is an asset
  • Good problem solving and analytical skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment
  • Highly organized with an attention to detail

Responsibilities

  • Develop work plans for maintenance activities containing appropriate work instructions, labour estimates, and material and tool requirements
  • Prepare weekly schedules for routine maintenance downturns and major equipment shutdowns
  • Conduct regular meetings with maintenance and operations departments to establish maintenance work priorities
  • Work with the maintenance team to develop and continuously improve maintenance programs
  • Monitor and prepare regular reports on key maintenance metrics
  • Support Maintenance Supervisor in execution of maintenance schedules and report on performance
  • Perform other duties as they might be assigned
