Requirements

  • 3 years of manufacturing experience
  • Experience in hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and industrial skills
  • Experience with mechanical systems (e.g., gear boxes, chains, sprockets, motors, seals, bearings)
  • Experience with product manuals (e.g., reading and applying knowledge to make repairs)
  • Experience troubleshooting mechanical breakdowns (pinpointing and fixing breakdowns)
  • Experience reading mechanical drawings (e.g., hydraulics, pneumatics)
  • Familiar with plant-specific electrical equipment, including equipment locations and power sources
  • Proficient with all electrical tools and their uses

Responsibilities

  • Maintain efficiency of machinery and equipment in a continuous improvement-based environment
  • Create and maintain a safe work environment
  • Set up, install, repair, and maintain production/manufacturing equipment and machinery
  • Inspect equipment for proper functioning and perform preventative maintenance duties per manufacturer's specifications
  • Diagnose equipment malfunctions and make repairs or adjustments as needed
  • Perform highly diversified duties to install and maintain production machines and the plant facility’s equipment
  • Perform scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service
  • Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment
  • Perform mechanic skills including mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic troubleshooting
  • Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service
  • Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test, and make adjustments
  • Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment, and plant facilities
