Requirements

3 years of manufacturing experience
Experience in hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and industrial skills
Experience with mechanical systems (e.g., gear boxes, chains, sprockets, motors, seals, bearings)
Experience with product manuals (e.g., reading and applying knowledge to make repairs)
Experience troubleshooting mechanical breakdowns (pinpointing and fixing breakdowns)
Experience reading mechanical drawings (e.g., hydraulics, pneumatics)
Familiar with plant-specific electrical equipment, including equipment locations and power sources
Proficient with all electrical tools and their uses

Responsibilities

Maintain efficiency of machinery and equipment in a continuous improvement-based environment
Create and maintain a safe work environment
Set up, install, repair, and maintain production/manufacturing equipment and machinery
Inspect equipment for proper functioning and perform preventative maintenance duties per manufacturer's specifications
Diagnose equipment malfunctions and make repairs or adjustments as needed
Perform highly diversified duties to install and maintain production machines and the plant facility’s equipment
Perform scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service
Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment
Perform mechanic skills including mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic troubleshooting
Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service
Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test, and make adjustments
Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment, and plant facilities
