Requirements

Associate degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Technical training beyond high school with at least one-year experience working within different trades
Basic electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and mechanical skills
Experience in building maintenance performing a wide variety of tasks
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret Architectural, Mechanical, and Electrical drawings (preferred)
Good understanding of Health and Safety Regulations (preferred)
Ability to effectively present information, write reports, and respond to questions from management and staff
Ability to work on-call and/or outside of normal business hours
Valid driver’s license for private and/or light truck
Physical ability to stoop, stand, walk, climb stairs/ladders, and lift/carry heavy loads approximately 40 pounds
Willingness to learn and be trained in all aspects of facilities management

Responsibilities

Perform scheduled preventative and remedial maintenance on mechanical and electrical equipment
Maintain upkeep of the Plant and Property using basic electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and mechanical skills
Adjust, oil, clean, change filters, and perform other similar tasks
Install interior fittings such as pictures, paintings, and other items
Repair plumbing and electrical systems, including repairing leaks and replacing bulbs
Assist other technical specialists and contractors as required
Coordinate furniture configurations with associated electrical, computer cabling, and other trades
Repair interior finishes and furniture, including paint touch-up, parts replacement (building hardware), and other duties
Respond to 24/7 emergency calls at the property when called
Be responsible for any tools provided by the company
Comply with company safety and security policies
Complete maintenance tasks under general supervision to support daily repairs and preventative maintenance for interior and exterior of the building
Support daily operations for the facility and ensure work quality with knowledge of processes and procedures
Recommend approaches to address unique maintenance issues and handle escalated issues with direction from management
Assist in the planning and execution of facilities maintenance programs
Other duties as assigned
