Requirements

  • Must have a personal vehicle (truck preferred) and be able to travel between Squirrel Hill and Oakland on short notice
  • Available to respond to occasional off-office-hour emergencies
  • Chinese-speaking preferred (Mandarin or Cantonese)
  • Basic plumbing and electrical knowledge
  • Hands-on experience with tools and small repairs
  • Responsible, punctual, and able to work independently
  • Good communication skills and customer service mindset

Responsibilities

  • Perform minor repairs and handle small work orders (e.g., light bulb replacement, lock changes, blinds installation, basic appliance/furniture install & removal, door/cabinet/furniture repair)
  • Conduct pest treatments and basic plumbing/electrical work
  • Pack and remove trash, organize trash cans, and assist with general upkeep tasks
  • Communicate professionally with tenants to address issues and provide timely updates
  • Coordinate with property owners to answer inquiries and arrange maintenance visits
  • Assist with basic billing calculations (e.g., utilities)
  • Handle simple email cases and office errands
  • Create marketing posts for ILS channels (January–July Peak Season)
  • Conduct property tours and assist with leasing activities as needed (January–July Peak Season)
